MATMATA-DOUZ
Meeting and ride to the South of Tunisia by land. We will have a short break in the Berber village of Tamezret.
Drive until we reach Douz for a camel ride on the golden dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental, where Saharan life begins.
Return to the centre of Douz and free time at the weekly market.
Lunch in a hotel in Douz.
On the way back, we will stop to visit a troglodyte house in Matmata. A local Berber family will guide us to discover its traditions.
Final stop will be the troglodyte Sidi Driss Hotel. The American producer Georges Lucas chose this place to shoot a few scenes of “star wars movie”. You will be able to see the preserved part of the set decorations.
