Schedule of the 1st day:
After meeting, we leave the island to reach the south of Tunisia. We will have the choice between going by land through the Roman road or by boat through the sea.
A break is planned in the city of Laffan before continuing to Chott El Djerid, where we will have time to admire its incredible salt lake.
Upon arrival in Tozeur, a visit of the Oasis by horse-drawn carriage is proposed to appreciate the local atmosphere.
Arrival at the 4-star hotel, check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, we will take you to the legendary mountain oasis of Chebika and Tamaghza. The famous fairy-tale scenery of the canyon and the waterfall will astonish you. That was the shooting place of "The English Patient" movie.
Back in Tozeur, a guided tour of the Medina and the surrounding area is planned.
Schedule of the 2nd day:
The tour starts with a crossing of Chott El Djerid in the direction of Douz.
A stop in Zaafran will allow a beautiful camel or horse-drawn carriage ride in the desert.
Free time at the market of Douz for shopping and discovery.
Lunch at the 4-star hotel.
After lunch, we head towards the town of Matmata to visit its surprising troglodyte houses reflecting the Berber culture. We will stop at another famous setting: the shooting scene of "Star Wars" movie in Sidi Driss.
